Packing- preparing for the next journey: REEL Project Latrine

It is T-12 days till we embark on our next adventure to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Once again, we will fly on Emirates and thus land in Dubai, then direct to Kigali (on FlyDubai), stay in Kigali with our 'friends' at the ACCORD hotel for three nights until we are off to the border town of Uvira in the DRC. We will be in Uvira for 2 days then take the boat down lake Tanganyika (for 24 hours) to Kalemie. Once in Kalemie we hope to stay with our trusted family friends of Papa Guy Marie and Mama Theresa (TRP office too small to host us...for now!).

I am anticipating this trip to be insightful and more exhausting than the last...we have a lot of work to do (from meetings, research, translating not to mention Latrines to build!). Nonetheless, what lies ahead is nothing but good and for that I am excited and all too thankful.

That's all for now folks, off to meet with the infamous Professor Apter and Robin Derby to discuss more research opportunities while on the ground-

Best,
krista
